All Cook County properties are assigned one of these property classes by the Cook County Assessor's Office (see 2024 classifications).
Additionally, Chicago Cityscape has created custom groups of property classes. Property classes that start with "10" were assigned by Chicago Cityscape as a way to hide these properties, by default, from Property Finder; there is a filter to display these properties.
The Cook County Assessor maintains and assigns the property classes. Review the full list. It's not possible to filter Chicago Cityscape for every property class because some classes are not assigned to any properties and we have removed those classes from our list.
"Outdated" property classifications are still in use; properties with these classifications are slowly being reassigned. It may be necessary to search for the outdated ones and their replacement classifications.
