Filter by transit / TOD proximity
This search may include properties near unopened stations: Metra Auburn Park (under construction).
Tip: Use "Filter by zoning" and choose a "TOD" group of zoning districts.
This searches for proximity to CTA and Metra stations; in Chicago it also looks for proximity to select bus route corridors.
To filter by acreage, multiple the number of acres you want by 43,560 and enter the result. For example, enter "87,120" to mean 2 acres. Square feet are used because most lots in Chicago are 3,125 s.f. making that number a good reference point for searches.

Recordings
New recordings take at least two weeks to appear; the filter uses the date of recording, not the date of execution (which can happen days and weeks prior to recordation); the Cook County Clerk's database is indexed through 2026-03-23.

This feature checks for moratorium(s) within 50 feet of parcels in B, C, D, and M zoning districts, and will also check to exclude properties that are in a vote dry precinct. Chicago liquor restrictions current as of August 17, 2023. Moratoriums can be set to apply to one or both sides of a street; our system cannot account for that, so you must use our Site Locator if you need to know this.
ChiBlockBuilder is Chicago's new vacant land acquisition program. Lots for sale are available to adjacent homeowners, non-profit organizations, business owners, and developers – each group has different eligibility criteria and pricing options.

Filter by ADU eligibility
Eligible properties are in B, RT-3.5, RT-4, RT-4A, RM-4.5 through RM-6.5, C1, or C2 zoning districts, or in RS-1, RS-2, or RS-3 within an ADU opt-in area. “Without local restrictions” further limits RS properties to opt-in areas that have not imposed any restrictions. Exempt, railroad, and condo properties are excluded.

Recommendation: Pair this with the "Mixed use (all B, C, D districts)" Chicago zoning filter, to the left, to show only properties where a mix of uses are allowed.
Use the Command key (Mac) or the Ctrl key (PC) to select & deselect multiple managing organizations.
Selecting "Custom: Developable lots" will look for presently-owned City-owned land that has a managing organization relevant to new development. This attempts to exclude properties designated for open space and properties that are already improved.
