Public meetings for the North Branch redevelopment ordinance announced

Published on Jul. 5, 2017 by Steven Vance

The City of Chicago has proposed dissolving the four Planned Manufacturing Districts in the North Branch Industrial Corridor (read our summary). The zoning districts will revert to their pre-PMD status of a combination of C (mixed-use), M (manufacturing), and DS (downtown service) districts.

The Department of Planning & Development sent a zoning change notice to all property owners in the area to inform them of five public meetings.

All five meetings will occur at the same time, on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at the following locations:

  • Chicago Department of Fleet & Facility Management, 1685 N Throop St (2nd Ward)
  • St. John Cantius, 825 N Carpenter St (27th Ward)
  • Hamlin Park Fieldhouse, 3035 N Hoyne Ave (32nd Ward)
  • City Hall, 121 N LaSalle St, Room 1003A (42nd Ward)
  • Adams Park Fieldhouse, 1919 N Seminary Ave (43rd Ward)
  • Old Town School of Folk Music, 909 W. Armitage (43rd Ward) additional
