Got a list of PINs (property index numbers) in Cook County and want to see those properties on a map?
Our new PIN Mapper tool can do that, while pulling up additional details like the city, property classification, and description.
We’ll also note which PINs we cannot find in our database (which we’ll save internally and figure out why our database didn’t have it).

How it’s useful
Let’s say you’re researching properties for sale on a commercial real estate website like CoStar, Rofo, or The Broker List, and you’re noting relevant properties in a personal spreadsheet. Don’t forget to record the PIN(s).
You can easily copy that list from your spreadsheet, paste it into the PIN Mapper, and within moments Chicago Cityscape will create a map and an expanded spreadsheet with the additional details.
Download the map in a GIS format, or export the expanded spreadsheet to Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, or another desktop application.
What else can it do?
PIN Mapper was originally created to quickly verify if a given PIN or list of PINs were available in our vast property taxes database, so that we can add any properties missing from our collection of over 1.8 million.
Our next step is to automatically count and summarize building permits at that property (Chicago properties only).
