We’ve added new pro-democracy features

This article contains outdated information.

Since the beginning, Chicago Cityscape has said where things are: The address you searched for is in the Douglas community area (a little known name on the lakefront south of McCormick Place), or that this renovation project is in the 4th Ward (Alder Sophia King).

We’ve now added a map for Congress, so you’ll see the name and district of the congressperson representing a home or property you looked up.

You’ll also see a little blue figure next to their name, and next to all of the other elected officials whose district includes the address or property you’re looking at, to indicate that this person is elected.

Click on the blue figure to register to vote or to check your voter registration status on the Illinois State Board of Elections website.

As soon as we figure out the best way to incorporate voter precinct boundaries, we’ll link to even more local voting resources.

Did you know there’s a special election to elect a 4th Ward alder? There’s a forum on February 4, and the election takes place February 28.
